Lil Miss Lippy: Carmex Lip Balms +

One of my most used products is lip balm. I use them before applying lipstick, sometimes during the day, and always in the evening. One of my favourite lip balm brands is Carmex! Carmex have definitely expanded in the last few years! I remember when Carmex used to only have a pot, and now they have the tube as well as the lip tint! There's also a range of flavours, my favourite being strawberry :) The pot is very germ friendly, which is why I prefer the tube and the lip tint so much more.

My favourite type is the Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm Sheer Tint. It's very moisturising, and applies a hint of colour onto your lips! This means I can use it during the day, and not worry about applying lipstick afterwards. I love anything that saves me time :)

The pot and tube cost around £2.49, whilst the Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm Sheer Tint costs around £4.49. This price is quite steep for the lip tint, but it also doubles up as lipstick so it's quite cost effective!

You can buy them from Boots, Superdrugs and supermarkets

What do you think of Carmex products?

These products were sent to me for consideration of a review. Honest opinion as always!

Lil Miss Outgoing: My fab weekend with two different looks :$

Hi guys! Hope you're having a fab weekend! I'm going to be working every Saturday for the next 3 weeks - so I cherished this weekend as much as I could!
My best friend and I went to  a restaurant called 'Las Iguanas' - the food wasn't very tasty, it was quite pricey for the quality and the waiters were SO rude! My friend and I spent ages in the restaurant (we were still eating) and the waiter's kept coming over and asking if we had finished. HOW RUDE? There were plenty of seats available in the restaurant too. I will never go there again!

The lipstick I'm wearing is Barry M lipstick in number 62 (Vibrant Pink) topped up with the Body Shop Oui Oui Oui lip butter (to make the lipstick seem less bright).

 My outfit:
Blazer: Primark. Vest top: River Island Jeggings: Primark. Boots: Primark (I do love Primark LOL)

I straightened my hair two days ago.. tied it in a bun.. and it turned out like this :) Not bad eh? ;)

In the evening, we went to celebrate the Indian festival of Holi at our cousins house. I was meant to wear Indian attire - but I didn't have anything nice to wear :( Here's my outfit:
Cardi: No idea, it was a gift. Vest: River Island. Jeggings: Primark. Boots:Primark

Funnily enough, I toned down my makeup for the evening. I added green eyeshadow all over the lid as well as brown eyeshadow on the crease, and wore Mac Peachstock Lipstick with Mac Freckletone Lipstick :)

My sis and I pretending to be vampires. We also do goofy things like that :)

Today, I just spent the whole day studying and watching cricket. YAY India won (I'm sorry if I annoyed you guys on Twitter haha!)

How was your weekend? xxx

Lil Miss Lippy: My lip combo of the day :)

Hi guys! I've been sporting all sorts of lip colours lately - nudes, reds, corals and pinks.

Today, I couldn't make up my mind! I started off by wearing 'Tea Rose' by Nyx (my favourite 'Drug Store' lipstick) and then decided that it didn't complement my makeup.

I then put 'Max Factor's Pink Brandy' lipstick on and created this pinky-corally look:

Nyx Tea Rose - I would describe it as a medium pink with mauve-ish undertones on my lips.

Max Factor Pink Brandy Lipstick -I would describe it as a dark coral with hints of pink on my lips.

Tea Rose + Pink Brandy =

Note: My Mac Shade is C4 (I'm very yellow toned). I think that this a nice colour for the day time. It's not over the top.. and not too pale either. Blue toned lippies don't really suit me - so this is a nice alternative.

I love mixing lip colours to make a gorgeous new shade! Does anybody else do this?

Love from Roshas xxx

*Sorry about the rubbish photos.. I didn't use flash and then the photos ended up looking real dull. I ended up adding light to the background.. and it's completely washing out the colours.  I tried to take swatch photos but they looked horrible!

Lil Miss Review: Mac Pink Plaid Lipstick *

Upon entering Mac, I decided to try out lipsticks (like I always do), and a colour that I have been continuosly swatching was Mac Pink Plaid (Matte). I don't know why I was always drawn to it.. I have loads of pink lipsticks and lipglosses but this colour always seem to stand out amongst the others! It's a gorgeous blueish-pink which looks like a soft muted pink in real life, but looks retro-ey and bright in photos! I usually look at Makeup Alley Reviews before buying anything (especially Mac), but this colour may have fazed any thoughts at that time!!

Some photos of me wearing it... sorry about the posing.. I can't help it, hehe. You can see that this colour is quite bright in flash photography! In my opinion, it is a wearable Barbie Pink. I probably wouldn't wear it out on its own on a night out (as I tend to put loads of eye makeup I feel the need to neutralise my lips).. it in need of some Body Shop Oui Oui Oui Butter (which is amazing at muting down colours!!)

It looks so different here .. .could be due to a rubbish camera and no flash.. but this is how it looks in real life!

Both of these were taken before a party! However, I would definitely wear this lipstick on a daily basis, as it's quite a soft pink without the flash and I always could use the Body Shop oui oui oui butter to mute it even more! The lipstick reminds me of Saint Germain, but Saint Germain is even more of a 'bubble-gum' pink and it is much lighter; for me... Saint Germain is really unwearable!

Summary:
Colour: Mac Pink Plaid
Finish: Matte
Price: £12.50
Longetivity: I felt that it lasted quite long! It's a matte and I feel that Matte lipsticks stain my lips.
Texture: Can be quite drying.. therefore I use Carmex to moisturise my lips in advance! I'm really loving Matte Lipsticks at the moment! I think they look more sophisticated.
Packaging: Well it's Mac.. so i love it! I love how sleek the mac lipstick packaging it!
Repurchase? I'm not sure anymore. Blue toned lippies do not suit my colouring! Revlon Pink Pout is a better dupe in my opinion! I actually haven't worn this since. I'm considering selling it.

Has anyone tried this lipstick?
If so.. what do you think of it? Would you repurchase it?
Do you wear it with any other lipsticks/ lipglosses or other mediums??
I'm really interested because I love recommendations! There's sooo many different combos and it would be great to mix and match =D

Hope you all enjoyed reading my first proper beauty post :) wooo
