Lil Miss Flashy: A few photos

Hi guys! I'm soo happy - my DSLR camera has finally arrived! I purchased the Canon 500d with 18-55mm lens from Amazon (it was actually a birthday present). I got a three year warranty package with it too!I don't like taking risks!

I've been playing around with it all day - it takes beautiful photos :) I am just a beginner when it comes to photography and I'm going to have to play around with different settings. I've only been using the automatic modes today.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE the Indian statues! I've always had a huge love of all things Indian, when I was younger I used to have a massive interest in Ganesh and Shiva, sometimes we would celebrate Diwali, and I was really enraptured by the story of Rama and Sita. Amazing culture :)

    Paneer is amazing, except not so good for you hahah esp when I just pick out the paneer.

    awhhh love the pictures, I was so excited when I got my canon too....have had it for years and years and still have tons to learn!

    @Monika - which one do you have? It's so confusing - all of the different modes! Might get a book on it lol!
